Leash & Collar: We require all dogs to be on leash and wearing a collar when on our premises at all times.
Admission: We reserve the right to prohibit admittance of pets lacking proof of vaccinations, and/or pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, and/or aggressive behavior. The Essential Vaccines: DOGS four months and older need up-to-date Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella inoculations administered by a veterinarian. CATS four months and older need up-to-date Rabies and Feline Distemper.
Business Hours: We are open to the public Monday – Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm. Saturday, 8:00am- 2:00pm. Sunday, 2:00pm-8:00pm. We close in honor of major Federal holidays.
Non-Business Hours Fee: When we are closed to the public, departures and arrivals shall incur a $50.00 fee (per pet). In addition, if it is an after-hours check-out, you will be charged for that night’s stay. If your pet is receiving a service other than boarding and is not picked up during our business hours, the pet will be checked into a Classic Boarding Suite and will incur a boarding fee along with any necessary feeding charges which will be due upon pick-up.
Rates & Holiday/Peak Season Minimum Stay: All rates and services are subject to availability and change. Canine Acres’ management reserves the right to separate pets boarding together if it determines any of the pets are uncomfortable, agitated or unsafe staying together. In such cases, individual rates will apply. We reserve the right to require a three-night minimum stay over holidays and peak seasons.
Feeding: Boarding pets will be served our house food at a charge of $1.50 per meal if personal food not supplied.
Grooming: Extra charges will apply for any pet exhibiting difficult behavior, excessive matting and/or shedding, or wood ticks. Any of these will be charged an extra staffing fee of $60.00 per hour in addition to the regular grooming rates. Any grooming that takes place on an elderly or unhealthy animal will be at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health/skin conditions for which the Canine Acres, Inc. cannot be held liable.
Waiver of Liability & Medical Need: In the rare case of an emergency, health concern, or lack of required vaccinations, we will contact you. We shall administer aid and nonprescription treatments, as needed. If veterinarian attention is deemed necessary, we shall take your pet to a 24-hour veterinary emergency hospital and you will be charged a $50.00 transportation fee. By admitting your pet to Canine Acres, you accept responsibility for any expenses resulting from outside treatment required in the event of accidental injury, illness, or other symptoms that may arise during or after your pet’s stay with us. Please understand that despite Canine Acres, Inc.’s commitment to the highest standard of pet care and supervision and to facility design and cleanliness, accidental injury and illness may occur. Pet owners are solely responsible and liable for any and all actions of their pet during the stay at Canine Acres, Inc. including, and not limited to injury to another pet, a Canine Acres, Inc.’s staff member, or a member of the public. All pets are boarded, or otherwise handled or cared for by us without liability on our part for loss or damage from disease, death, running away, theft, fire, injury to persons, other dogs or property by above listed animals or other unavoidable causes.
Media Release: Images and/or videos of your pet(s) may be taken for social media or marketing material. Your signature on the policies and admittance agreement grants unrestricted use and publishing of any such media.
Payment: Payment for services is required at time of pick-up. The undersigned certifies that he/she is the legal owner or agent of animal, and guarantees payment of any charges due. We accept cash or credit card as well as checks less than $300. Pet owners will incur an additional $30 fee for checks returned for insufficient funds. In the event that an invoice is given, payment must be received within 15 days of the invoice date. A 10% accruing interest will be applied to any outstanding amount due. Long-term boarding must be paid in advance each 30 days and a credit card will be required to be on file at time of check-in. If Owner fails to pick up the pet on its scheduled checkout date, Canine Acres may, at its option, continue to provide to the pet any or all of the services and Owner will be obligated for the payment of those services at the then-current rates of Canine Acres. Owner authorizes Canine Acres to charge any credit card of Owner on file for any charges not paid by Owner when due.
Abandoned Pet: If I leave my pet at Canine Acres, Inc., and I or my designee does not claim it within ten (10) calendar days after official notification, Canine Acres, Inc. shall deem my pet legally abandoned, resulting in the immediate relinquishment of my pet ownership rights to Canine Acres, Inc.
Customer Agreement: I have read and understand the above policies and procedures, and by signing this document I agree to all stated terms and conditions.
